Atul finished his Masters (2006) in Physical Chemistry from the University of Pune, India. He carried out his masters project at National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, India. Afterwards, he continued his research in heterogeneous catalysis at NCL. In 2008, he moved to the Dow Chemical International Pvt. Ltd., where he supported the catalysis project teams in developing lab scale catalytic processes for alternative and renewable feed stocks research programs. In 2010 he joined Urakawa research group at ICIQ to obtain his Doctorate (with honor) in Chemical Science and Technology. During his Ph.D. studies he worked on the development of high pressure catalytic CO2 conversion processes as well as operando spectroscopic tools. In early 2014, he undertook a position as a Group Scientific Coordinator, where he contributes technically and scientifically to several ongoing research projects.
