Research projects with industries involve one or more researchers working full-time under the direct supervision of ICIQ group leaders. This collaboration is set by signing a contract stating the basic conditions such as cost, researchers involved and any particular characteristics regarding the research project. In 2013 we had 19 research contracts with different industries and as you can see in the FTE chart, the number of full-time researchers dedicated to research projects with industries approximates 25, which represents close to 10% of ICIQ’s research staff.
The Business Development Unit is the department in charge of negotiating and managing the research contracts with industry.
