Hilario finished his bachelor’s (2016) and master’s degree (2019) at UNAM (Mexico City) focusing on organometallic compounds as synthetic precursors for heterocycles, and ligand synthesis for asymmetric transfer hydrogenation. Later, he completed his Ph.D. in 2024 at the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (Rostock, Germany) working on photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction in both organic and aqueous media.
