Marçal had a Juan de la Cierva – Formación fellowshuip. He worked on the project funded by the European Research Council “Bio2chem-d: Biomass to chemicals: Catalysis design from first principles for a sustainable chemical industry” (ERC Starting Grant) and on a project funded by MINECO.
